Having trained as an archaeologist, I was particularly intrigued by the scenes shot at the Baths of Caracalla (Terme di Caracalla). It also took our (anti?) hero to new and interesting places, including several stunning locations in Rome, which are detailed here, including Piazza Venezia, Piazza Navona, the Altare della Patria, and the Museo Centrale del Risorgimento (part of the same complex as the Altare), which is the frontage of the Rome branch of the Continental hotel chain. The first one was a breath of fresh air in a world of Bournes and Takens, and the sequel turned everything up to eleven without losing the core appeal. And I am a huge fan of the John Wick movies. If it isn’t, well hopefully this one will still be of interest to fellow Wick fans. Welcome to what may or may not be the first post in a series of movie gunfight breakdowns.
